Armidale Taxis are committed to providing a safe, reliable and efficient service to Armidale and its surrounding areas. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We’re always available! We pride ourselves on the safety of our fleet, providing our customers with the absolute best quality surveillance camera systems and back to base location monitoring for peace of mind for all passengers. All drivers working for Armidale Taxis are required to meet NSW RMS and PTP regulations, this includes a full police and driver history check. Our fares are calculated using the latest Cabcharge technology, which is regularly checked and calibrated to maintain its integrity. We have vehicles available to suit all journeys, from 4 passenger sedans to wheelchair accessible maxi taxis seating up to 11 passengers. Your taxi fare is made up of different charges.

Here are the maximum amounts that a taxi can charge when you hail the taxi or wait at a rank:

Hire charge: $4.10
Levy: $1.10

6am – 10pm Monday to Saturday: $2.26/km for the first 12km, then $3.13/km thereafter
10pm – 6am Monday to Saturday, and all day Sunday and public holidays: $2.71/km for the first 12km, then $3.75/km thereafter (as well as 6am to 10pm on Sundays and Public Holidays)

Waiting time: $57.65 per hour (96c per minute) while vehicle speed is less than 26 km/h

Cleaning fee: if you dirty the taxi, you may be charged up to $120 plus GST

If you book a taxi to come to come to your location, the fees charged are listed below:

If you order a Maxi Taxi and are not travelling in a wheelchair or there are 5 or more passengers, then an additional 50% will be added to the hire charge, distance rate, and waiting rate.

All our vehicles are fitted with GPS tracking. The best way to order your taxi is using the Armidale Taxis app, you can watch the vehicle arriving at your location! If you have booked using any other means, you can call our operators on 02 6771 1455 for assistance.
